Today, we have geusts....

And one of them is a son of the director of textile at Armani, ENZO DI GIOIA.

He is a student, and came to Japan on September 3rd. This is the first visit to Japan for them.
They left Tokyo this morning and arrived in Kyoto a bit before noon, then stay 3 days here for sightseeing.

His father, Mr. ENZO DI GIOIA is fond of Hinaya textiles, and I have dined with him in Milan several times, however, I had never met his son till today.

We will throw a dinner party at home tonight, and young staff at my company will show Kyoto around with them on Saturday.

Hinaya as one of the best 30 suppliers in Japan

Hinaya, inc. was selected as one of the best 30 suppliers in Japan in the latest issue of "WEAR JAPAN" -TEXTILE AND FASHION JOURNAL IN JAPAN- issued by Nissen Media!

Among best 30, those who are listed such as Tore, Kaihara, Komatsu refinement, the Japan wool textile, the pegasus sewing machine, Shima precision machine, Takisada, and Teijin fibers, and they are praised with high-technology, traditional skills, design, trendiness of merchandise, or management, and "Hinaya" was chosen among them.
I was notified beforehand at all, so I was so surprised and happy at the same time when I knew the news.

To become a textile company with the original technology and the sensibility for design and shining individuality, so called "HINAYA", that I have been after since I became the president, and is the ideal of our company.

Lately, we started feeling some change for it a bit but steadily these days within the company, however, now we are judged by outside specialists as this good, I felt so much joy and encouraged by it.

YASMINE SIMON

I had a business trip to Paris last July, and met many people, and talked various possibilities on collaborations.

Yasmine Simon is one of them.
She is a wife of Mr. Laurent Vincenti who is a renowned graphic designer, and she is also a textile designer herself.

Yasmine is now into bag0making with her own textile, and showed me several bags of hers in Paris. She also told me that she is very interested in Hinaya textiles, and I suggested her to make several bags with our fabrics. She was so excited with joy.

As soon as I got back to Japan, and selected some textiles and send them to her in Paris, then she worked on so hard without going for a vacation. She completed 6 bags, and send them to Kyoto in a month. They arrived today. As I promised her in Paris, I will bring these bags to a trade show in New York.

Her husband, Mr. Laurent Vansanti had created logos and worked on visual identities for Air France, La Poste, Peugeot etc., many of best companies in France. Yasmine x Hinaya bag collaboration started as a spin-off when I was introduced to her husband, Laurent. He encourages her a lot, and I am ecited about it, too.

As I feel her passion for the collection, I would love to bring a good result from our trunk show in NYC to keep on moving this project.
