Before nature

It stands to the everlasting credit of science that by acting on the human mind it has overcome man's insecurity before himself and before nature.

There is no relationship with an emotion from a mysticism at all but very religious.

Beyond craft : To think

The textile is getting mechanized

An inverse proportion of mechanization of textile to assimilation to the others makes us mesmerized they are all the same. It maybe is one of the good ideas to go back to the origin. We, Japanese can do it.

-We won't win at the price competition by only our products and quality. It is important to make our own story based on our culture and scarcity value.

-To slide to let them purchase our touching stories not only to offer the products and quality.

-Why don't we try our products as arts to show?

-We probably can suggest people who are interested in our products beauty our textile as an art with history visually.

I know I have yes or no both.

We try to reform Kimono as our own way.

The appeal of Kimono is you have more choice to arrange the shape on you.

Sometimes you have to feel tight and heavy when you wear Kimono with total coordinate.

So let me try to wear Kimono as one of my wardrobes more and more from now.

il vento percorre l'ombra dei fiori.

The Gallery SUSHI STORE in Rome, Italy will have a trunk show with scarves and shawls of AKIHIKO IZUKURA from 13th of this month.

via di pallacorda, 12
00186 - Roma
tel. +39 06 97270517

They have Sushi Restaurant by only appointment and Gallery on the ground floor and retail space for high quality and modern products on the basement.
This time, AKIHIKO IZUKURA will be shown on the ground floor. They showed our scarves in spring as well, so this time will be the second chance to show there.

I had a chance to talk to the owner marina tavoletti when I visited SUSHI STORE on the back way from FENDI as business visit in Rome in January this year. Then we met at PREMIERE CLASSE just right after that again, that is the story we started business together.

We tried PREMIERE CLASSE Sep. last year and Jan. this year to find new clients there as well as we have in US, however it didn't go well as we thought. So we decided to concentrate to Haute Couture, also now we have a good client like LUSSO in London, UK as SUSHI STORE.

They both are owned by lovely and solid owners and they both like our products.
We would like to try to have more fan of AKIHIKO IZUKURA there step by step from now on.

Susan Cianciolo, artist/designer who lives in NYC and we have had a very good relationship each other.

She always uses our textile for new release at New York Collection every Feb. and Sep. Also we have just introduced how her show was in Feb.

That Susan will come to stay in Kyoto to try to produce her new collection for next New York collection in Feb. That will be for about a month.

She loves Kyoto and respect our textile, then how would that going to be?
