1/22 Our dream weaving machine.

The predecessor company of Toyota Motor Corporation is known for making automatic looms, and Mr. Sakichi Toyoda, the founder of the company and one of big forerunners of the industrial modernization of Japan, was aiming to develop the ultimate circular movement automatic loom known as the non-stop shuttle loom(The type G automatic loom) then.

The ideal ultimate loom works without having to idle power, was invented in 1906 to weave cloths so quietly.
Sakichi, who invented the loom lhad a strong belief that "the ideal movement is the circular motion of rotation rather than the round-trip", invented the loom with sequential uniform wave motions that implantation of yarn based on the evidence of the shed, and to insert the weft in a cylindrical shape, and it has been submitted for patent in 19 countries worldwide as a revolutionary invention.

He developed the loom of the "world's first" when Japan is at its fullest by imitating the West.

I understand that these two mottos "the ideal of the movement is circular rotations" and "idle without power" had let Toyota Co. 's current "reseach and development" spirits.

Also HINAYA has automatic looms named "Apollo" weave in the same circular motion, Sakichi's loom is its prototype.Sakichi's looms actually were never used practically, however, Hinaya's Apollo is still weaving today.

We do need to appreciate it and carry on.
