On Aura Tout Vu * HINAYA

On Aura Tout Vu Spring Summer 2011 - Haute Couture at Paris, official video images

I received a comment that he/she could not find garments used Hinaya textiles the other day among images I photographed On Aura Tout Vu' collection, I uploaded new images from different angles this time.

1.

*Hinaya textile was used as a top material covering the skirt. It looked so soft, in contrast with very delicate and gorgeous materials.

2.

*Hinaya textiles used for a long dress, and it has very special weave pattern, and has some sheer-ness. We added natural dye(degrade) over it. Rivia, a designer of On Aura Tout Vu commented that she loves this dress best in the collection.

3.

*Dress with Hinaya textiles. They used the same textiles in the last collection as well. Yasen, On Aura Tout Vu designer mentioned that the textile is already perfect as a design, and feel so happy to use it.He also added that many attendees said that they wanted to see it more closely.

4.

*Body suits used Hinaya Jacquard textile. It drapes beautifully.

Sakina M'sa

I attended the show of Sakina M'sa at 6pm on the same day 26th, after attending  On Aura Tout Vu and Jean Doucet's show.

I am not working with Sakina M'sa currently,  but after we met last Jan and July, we kept communicating with facebook and she invited me to her show once she knew that I was visiting Paris this time.

I guess we are the same age, but clearly we had a totally different background.

Her parents immigrated from Africa to France, and her mom worked as a maid when she was young. Her parents speak but can not write nor read French. This background made her study so hard at the school and read a lot of books. She had read many Japanese literatures like Mishima, Kawabata and Tanizaki.

She was fond of designing and dress making, and one day she made and showed a very original dress at a contest, and won a big applause. Then she received a educational fund to study at an art school. This is how she started her career.

The dress that made her what she is now....was a dress patch-worded a worn and torn old cleaning cloths she found at the school, and the turn out was outrageously good looking.

The story is so cool, and I was so touched and almost shed tears.

I hope one day in the future we work together.

Ideology as Taro Okamoto

I will be soon turning off my pc and checking out of the hotel, then take off my way back to Kyoto around 8pm today.

I stayed in PAris for a week, and I felt quite a bit off sprit with a time lag with this trip.

Whenever I went to bed, I woke up at 3am and stay awake till morining everyday.

However, it made my thoughts clear and sharp surprisingly enough.

Anyway, I had enough time to think over many issues and read books.

I had several books with me for this trip, and I ended up with reading only one book in bath tub and bed.

It comes to my heart so directly, so I repeatedly read same texts so many times in this book called "Ideology as Taro Okamoto" by Norio Akasaka.

Defile Jean Doucet, Jan. 26th(monday) 2011

On the same day as On aura tout vu's show on 26th, I attended the couture show of JEAN DOUCET at 3pm Paris time.

It was located at buddha-bar, and I did not know but it was one of the most popular spot in Paris before. In the center of the broad dance floor is the huge buddha, and was filled with asian motifs and very chic.

I heard they invited about 150 guests, but close to 200 attended to the show actually.

This time with JEAN DOUCET's collection, I was informed that he used so many Hinaya textiles for garments, but when I met Jean 3 days before at his atelier, he insisted that he did not want to show them to me until the show. So, I was so wondering what he made with a bit of uneasiness.

He paid so much respects to Hinaya at the show, and as a partner of the collaboration, I and Japanese guests I invited to the show were all seated at the front row.

However, I was told not to photograph the show there.

The person insisted that I am a very important partner and a VIP among the guests, representing Hinaya as well, so I must take it easy and have a seat. Also added that he will deliver official photos and DVD later.

I understood, make a clear sense.(I will show images as I receive official ones later)

The show itself was fantastic! 80% of all the garments used Hinaya textiles, and they were wonderfully done!

I can not tell how they were with my tongue, so I certainly will show photo and vidio images of the show soon.

Yesterday, a day after the show, I had a dinner with Jean and Ridia(his business partner and designer), and talked about their plans.

I will not refer to the details of the talk, but it seems that a PR company located in L.A. will promote JEAN DOUCET by targeting mainly celebrities in Beverly Hills .

Yesterday at the dinner, I tried to tell where I and Hinaya stands among the collaboration, and even had hot arguments with them. However, I am confident that we had our thoughts understood then.

He will be in NYC next week, and I decided to meet him during my business trip to NYC. He also added that he would like to invite me to his LA headquarter in Sept.

I am not sure how this talk comes through yet...

I will take my dynamic step forward with a caution.

2011/01/26 10:00 a.m. on aura tout vu SS couture 11 " Flying Dream! "

On aura tout vu, who dressed Lady GaGa has been gathering more and more attention from fashion press these days.

They had more than 300 attendees at the show, and had so many applause during the show.

This is the third season since Hinaya started to support them with our textiles, and I feel that their creations are getting more sophisticated personally(not only with works used Hinaya textiles).

After the show, I commented designer Yasen, "I had a chills! Great works!".Then he replyed with "Yah, I was aiming at it!" with a big grin.

Yasen and Livia was chased by press reporters and so busy then, so we decided to have a talk over a lunch on 28th(fri) before I left Paris.

They said they will treat me!
