Sakina M'sa

I attended the show of Sakina M'sa at 6pm on the same day 26th, after attending  On Aura Tout Vu and Jean Doucet's show.

I am not working with Sakina M'sa currently,  but after we met last Jan and July, we kept communicating with facebook and she invited me to her show once she knew that I was visiting Paris this time.

I guess we are the same age, but clearly we had a totally different background.

Her parents immigrated from Africa to France, and her mom worked as a maid when she was young. Her parents speak but can not write nor read French. This background made her study so hard at the school and read a lot of books. She had read many Japanese literatures like Mishima, Kawabata and Tanizaki.

She was fond of designing and dress making, and one day she made and showed a very original dress at a contest, and won a big applause. Then she received a educational fund to study at an art school. This is how she started her career.

The dress that made her what she is now....was a dress patch-worded a worn and torn old cleaning cloths she found at the school, and the turn out was outrageously good looking.

The story is so cool, and I was so touched and almost shed tears.

I hope one day in the future we work together.
