6/27 I am ready to leave for..

I will leave for Paris and Milan from Monday, July 4th as business trip.

This time schedule is full as always.

Leave for Kyoto on Monday morning and get to Paris in the evening. Without a rest, I will visit Champagne and meet some people from Association des Vignerons Champenois.

Will back to Paris on Tuesday evening and attend Haute Couture Collection by on aura tout vu which we provide our textile on Wednesday. Later on the same day, will visit Ligia Dias who is a jewelry designer's studio, then have dinner with a former member of Assemblée nationale in the evening.

*A Couture Designer, Jean Doucet has the key for this time meeting with them. Also we will have an important business talk together and these are the main reason this time I will visit Europe.

I will move to Italy on Thursday and stay there for two nights. I will visit ARMANI and VALENTINO which have appreciated HINAYA Textile, also Universities in Milan（istituto Europeo del design and Marangoni) during the stay.

Additionally, I will have a meeting with Selene Giorgi as first time.

On Saturday I will be invited to summer house by Lago di Garda(Lake Garda) in Selene Giorgi city in Italy.

And I will go back to Paris Sunday afternoon and will have meeting with Yasmin Simon on the next day. We will have dinner together including her husband Laurent Vincenti.

Meeting with on aura tout vu on Tuesday, with Jean Doucet on Wednesday and get on the flight to come back to Kyoto at night.

The date I get to Kyoto will be Thursday night. It will be just before the "Yukata de Party" which I  wrote here the other day.

This time trip as well, will be very hard days.  I will take care of my health condition and try to work harder.

6/21 Yukata de Party @ HINAYA KYOTO Kiyomizu Gojozaka Branch

In July, we will have Gion festival, which is counted for one of the 3 biggest festivals in Kyoto.
It is even counted for one of the 3 biggest festivals in Japan, along with Tenjin festival in Osaka and San'noh festival in Tokyo.
Kyoto gets so busy with so many travelers and our spirits swell as July comes close.
Yasaka shrine is in charge of the Gion festival, so we would love to plan a fun event since HINAYA KYOTO is its neighbor.
Then we came up with "YUKATA party".

Please join us on  July 16th, from 2pm to 5pm..
Our shop staff in YUKATA will welcome you to our party.
This is the best venue to show off your favorite YUKATA!
No reservation necessary, just come to our shop and have a great time together.

6/17 about the day before yesterday

It was a wonderful day the day before yesterday.

I could meet both Mr. Akira Minagawa from mina perhonen and Mr. Dai Fujiwara from ISSEY MIYAKE (acutually he was stepping down from creative director for Issey Miyake recently).

At HINYA KYOTO Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch with Mr. Minagawa and at the lecture in Kyoto Zokei University with Mr. Fujiwara (lots of thanks for Mr. Toru Otaka!).

Mr. Akira Minagawa and Mr. Dai fujiwara.

This two people were the ones that I was wishing to see under this job, in the textile field.

It was like a dream that I could see those two people in a one day!

I noticed they are both wonderful people as character and had deep knowledge about textile.

Mr. Fujiwara visited our dyeing factory next day. (Mr. Minagawa visited us last Nov. and came as our guest to the opening reception for Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch in May 21st)

It was really like dream..

I will try not to be satisfied by just meeting them but will try to work together someday and will make effort and step forward to make it come true.

6/10 The first collaboration of mitasu+ !

We started our new brand mitasu+ from HINAYA KYOTO in March this year.

Being against mass production and repetitions, we put our creative passion piece by piece while leaving its color and texture to nature with a big spirit so that each one is different, special, and one-of-a-kind.
Timeless, Ageless, Borderless, but Artful.

Piece by Piece,

and You.
Let's imagine the weft is our artisanal hands and you are the warp.

Artisans create a cloth, and you find its uniqueness and use it with appreciation. This way they are

weaving a new value and preciousness to the cloth. This beautiful collaboration fills both hearts and

creativity with happiness and joy.

Now they are available at HINAYA KYOTO Main store and Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch.

The original concept of mitasu+ was..

The excitement to make, the excitement to choose, it is exciting to use.


The joy to make, the joy to choose, it is joyful to use.


It is not mas production but production for the only one.


The piece not by mass production.


The satisfactions not by mass production.


The fascination not by mass production.


Make piece by piece to be found by you, not make massively and sell massively.

With this basic idea for mitasu+ (we hadn't decided even this brand name yet), we used to discuss about the new brand many times including collaboration..

The first collaboration will come ture!

With Mr. Koichi Watanabe which is the designer of his own brand 「N4」, he has been in dyeing factory in HINAYA deep into many times and making his own fabric.

He arranged 20 of stoles adding his images and dyeing colors by himself on HINAYA technique archives as 「N4 ＊ mitasu+」.

Of course, they are all one of a kind and taste different from mitasu+ itself.

They all look wonderful.

He will try to exhibit these in Paris as 「N4」 as his first trial.

Looking forward to seeing over there.

6/9 Hinaya Obi Exhibition will be held in August

It has been almost 4 years when we started having an exhibition of Obi that we produce twice a year.

We started this exhibition with the purpose to carry the way of Kumiori which is the core of HINAYA to the next generation and now it seems firmly established. It is by young generation and produce every single obi as one of a kind.

That purpose must be easy to understand for them and they developed a lot.

We used to have it at show room Origin  in main building of HINAYA but we will start having it at Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch HINAYA KYOTO from now on.

It will be in the beginning of August and the season is in the middle of pottery festival in Kyoto.

Please look forward to it!

6/6 Arrange by yourself and could get deep into naturally

At HINAYA KYOTO Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch will keep giving flower arrangement with the seasonal flowers constantly.

The arrangement will be by "Hana, Taninaka" introduced by Mr. Nishibatake from Hanau.

The interior designer Ms. Naomi Kozai who designed Gojozaka branch will set up the arrangement in the branch as well. We have tried make Green Wall out side of our main building and this is a part of that "Green".

However, I don't think it is good idea to ask somebody to take care of them all the time.

I believe that the Green looks more bright and shiny when we have a good communication with green and staff, don't you agree?

So, I asked Hana, Taninaka to teach our staff how to arrange the flowers.

Hana, Taninaka give the store arrangement once a month and our staff try to arrange and take care of it in between.

Arrange by yourself and could get deep into naturally.

Staff will attend to "the school of flowers"(Hana no Kyoshitsu) which Hana, Taninaka teaches once a month and let them express their feeling through flowers from now.

By the way..

This "Hana no Kyoshitsu" are open to anyone and you can attend junst only one time. If you are interested in flowers or flower arrangement, wouldn't you consider it?

For the information, Isn't it cool to take a lesson of the flower arrangement in Kyoto?

It is the great chance to re-realize our company's true value to collaborate with others

HIROMI ASAI , I introduced here before , kimono stylist from New York used our HINAYA Obi for her shooting for her images.

We have the one of the pictures from it in HINAYA KYOTO Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch.

It is by the Kumihimo exhibition area.

Now we have more strong impact with the framed picture in Obi area.

Kimono by WAFRICA has been successful mixed culture of Kimono and Africa.

This is the words from Ms. Asai when I just met her through email.

I also had had this idea for a long time and our relationship is the result of this common sense.

I believe this photo is the challenge of her to try this idea.

 

We have had many collaboration recently more and this opportunity is the great chance to re-realize our company's true value.

The collaboration with Ms. Asai is precisely great chance to do so.

産地直送の生地販売会「第2回テキスタイル・マルシェ」を開催

景気低迷の長期化でトレンドが動かない現状や少量・多品種・短納期化等、近年のデザイナーやアパレル企画担当者は「生地問屋のブック帳から」素材を選ぶ傾向がますます強くなっております。この傾向は適時に適量を必要とするには大変便利なやり方ではありますが、副産物として「市場の同質化」を排出してしまいます。結果として、ものづくりをするスタッフが産地へ入らない・産地を知らない現状が強くなりました。

また、産地企業側も危機に瀕していながらも様々な商品づくりを続けていますが、抜本的な意識改革が出来ず「アピール下手」の体質が改善できていないという長年の問題点が存在します。

相互の利益のために新たな仕掛けとして、産地企業と小規模デザイナーブランドやファッションを夢見る学生、手芸作家などの一般の方々と直接生地のやり取りができる生地販売会「第２回テキスタイル・マルシェ」を開催します。
小ロットで付加価値のある素材を求めている小規模デザイナーやマンションメーカーは現在でも多数存在します。産地企業が直接、デザイナーやクリエイターと触れ合う機会を得るだけでなく、デザイナーたちが素材の奥深さと産地企業を知る場にもなり、相乗効果を生み出すことが期待できるのではないでしょうか。昨年１２月２日（木）・３日（金）に第１回を開催したところ、平日にも関わらず、一般消費者を含む７５７人の来場がありました。
