We are transmitting our original textile and products, from Nishijin, Kyoto to the world

3/31 HINAYA KYOTAO @ Kiyomizu Gojozaka

I have mentioned a couple of time in this blog, "HINAYA KYOTO" show room.

Now the interior construction is going on for the opening in the middle of May.

We, Hinaya is the company to make Obi and Obi textile originally in Nishijin, Kyoto. However, we have started producing women's clothing using our own textile from the scratch and do whole sale and retail both since 30 years ago.

The women's clothing used be run by "SUN MOON", now by "AKIHIKO IZUKURA" and manages two stores in Kyoto and Jiyugaoka, Tokyo.

Of course, we still produce our original Obi which is roots of Hinaya and provide them through our clients all in Japan by name of HINAYA.

We have just started our own new collection of bigger scarf seriese "mitasu+". This is truly one of a kind scarf and provide through particular clients.

On the other hand, HINAYA has had collaboration with designers of Haute Courture in Paris or artists in NY eagerly. The good thing is all of them loved our textile and started working together and we have had good response in the world.

Our projects have become diversified.

I have introduced our development and transition in this blog and the way we have done doesn’t seem related each other.  However, I believe that they are all connected on the bottom line and this wide development makes “HINAYA” to “HINAYA”.

Let me tell you this..

You can see all of  HINAYA products at our brand new “HINAYA KYOTO” show room (we call it Kiyomizu Gojozaka branch) and you can feel fascinated by our various projects, that we are trying to make effort to be.

At the same time, the cooperate web site is also coming soon.

Please look forward to it!

3/22 A little bit of flowers of the world

These are the plants.

You can't touch them but they are very hard when you touch.

As their peculiarity, the fiber are all line up regularly and they were found in the ocean 500 km away from Tango Hanto in Kyoto.

You can see the flat pattern with checker flag when you untie the rope.

They said that  this is originally formed as textile, you don't need to weave although all of textile are woven by humans hands.

This is the universal discovery and the article was on the Kyoto evening times on Feb. 29th 2011. Then became the attention of experts and the "the Nature" the magazine from UK came to the interview about it.

They named it " A little bit of flowers of the world"

because it is very rare and the discoverer is a fan of SMAP.

Of course these are all fiction :-)

The person who made this up imagined that we, the textile maker would be very easy if we had this kind of plants.

This is the story from the "Let's enjoy the arts @ HINAYA" day.

She would like to express the expectation and potentiality of textile.

She also would like to express the form changing from the flat textile's feeling or form by squeezing and tie.

I like it! Is it cool, isn't it?

With surprise at the end.

Her ambition is these flowers are going to be displayed in the window of the our new store in Gojozaka, Kyoto.

Very nice.

3/15 What is the studying beloved Japan?

I had an interview from School of Ohara Waso for their brochure before I left for New York in Feb.

The title was "the message for the young people who are considering to study Waso(Japanese traditional Kimono)".

I have just gotten it today.

Marimba Player Ms.Tuuzaki Mutsumi who is famous as vintage kimono collector and I are on the brochure.
I have never met her but I am very honored because I liked her book "Tsuuzaki Gonomi" and herself.

The principal of the school was very delighted my message and I was very happy to hear.

I hope we can give some message with hope to young high school students.

3/10 At Let's JAPAN Ch

We have been asking TV producing company " Let's JAPAN Ch " of "p-cube" to create our promotion film.

This would be toward China to promote of AKIHIKO IZUKURA scarf through internet.

They had a shooting for it today.

The cute Chinese girls visited our dyeing and weaving rooms and interviewed our girls staff working there who are almost same generation with them .

Those our girls, at the beginning, looked little nervous, but later on, young people are very flexible. They started answering very smoothly after they got the hang of it.

Then...I wish I could tell you.

I have to stop because you can save your surprise later.
