Our loom at IZUKURA-KYOTO
The loom is the weaving machine.
So far, and over many years, the weft yarn was inserted with a shuttle, but this tends to change.
We can see water jet, air jet, rapier or gripper looms, all shuttle less and 4 or 5 times more productive than the regular shuttle looms.
Among others, there are Jacquard machines to weave patterns, dobby looms or multiple shuttle looms, each shuttle being loaded with a different type of yarn.
Our loom at IZUKURA-KYOTO is a mix of Jacquard and multiple shuttle loom, with 4 shuttles on one side. We shall explain about it later.
