Brainstorming...

What is self-expression? What is self-satisfactory? What is the
complex covering?

The brainstorming was done today by the product planning staff of
"AKIHIKO IZUKURA", which is our own Western clothes brand.

It was donewith a main purpose to clarify our project theme and
underlying problems of AKIHIKO IZUKURA brand, and also to share the
data so far we have.
First of all, they analyzed current market and the present standing
point of our brand there. Not just relatively reconsider it with the
results, then they started digging our own strong points down, and
pursuing them into in more depths.

All of a sudden, they started reaching a bare reality.

Our main pursuit is to make the best use of the dyeing and weaving
expression and techniques (textiles), and designing should stay simple
as possible.

Then, opinion exchange started on this basic matter "why a person
wears clothes (=choose) ?

Various opinions came out, and they were classified as follow.

1, self-expression 2, self-satisfaction 3, and complex covering up (for better)*

Next, they discussed on each elements(weaving, dyeing and designing)
should respectively have its own role.

After the discussion, we decided to share the results, and it was
brought together as follows.

・Weaving' role(the sense of touch of included) → self-expression +
self-satisfaction + complex covering.
・ Dyeing's role (colors). →self-expression + self-satisfaction +
complex covering
・Designing's role →clothing=complex covering, scarves= self-expression

We have to remember as a creative fashion maker,
・Cover three elements in the material.
・Narrow the element to one in the design.

*Complex covering should positively expressed as more beautiful and
youthful in this context.

Making commodity with customer's point of view is to clarify what we
would love to propose its value to them.

Our company in the future keeps creating products by centering on the
materialization of the above-mentioned elements.
